In the Distance
Acrylic Paint on Paper
46 cm x 61 cm
My art conveys the idea that natural beauties are not accessible to everyone. I had to make a collage using pictures of mountains, grass, water, and rock to imitate a landscape. Thus, when we get a chance to experience such natural beauty, we should be appreciate it because the solace and peace can only be conveyed through nature. The reason why certain parts of my painting are a bit flat is that the audience should know that this work is not really from documentation, but rather from a collection of pictures I found.
Nature's View
Watercolor and ink on watercolor paper
30 cm x 43 cm
The work portrays the feeling that nature communicates to a person. This feeling creates unity among people as nature can convey a feeling of peace and simplicity that cannot really be brought by other factors. Nature relieves the viewer from the complexity of life and allows them to enjoy what they are experiencing in front of them. The difference of color throughout the painting creates a contrast between the water, trees, and sky.

The Pathway to Light
Mixed Media
46 cm x 61 cm
This piece expresses the idea of tranquility in nature and the peaceful experience that one can have being in its presence. I used larger images to symbolize structures to communicate how people tend to categorize nature and its details. I used less intricate designs to emphasize how people do not notice the elaborate designs. The quality of color was significant because it helped create contrast between the orange background and blue and green foreground.
The Flow of Nourishment
Digital Photomontage
20 cm x 28 cm
This image displays a Green cheek conure obtaining its required bird food from a normal sink from which humans acquire their water. The merging of bird food and water symbolize how certain aspects of nature, which are represented by our pets in this case, rely on humans for their basic necessities. The composition of this piece reinforces the idea of how intertwined humans and nature are.

The Artificial Cage
Digital Photomontage
20 cm x 28 cm
Even though humans and nature are intertwined in so many aspects, individuals tend to create a divide between themselves and the naturalistic world around them. The photoshopped window acts as a barrier between the bird on the outside and the human being taking the picture from inside their home, This underlines the idea of how nature is liberating and can only enable us to be free if we allow it to.
Bridge of Two Worlds
Digital Photomontage
20 cm x 28 cm
This third work in the photomontage finally portrays the bird directly inside of the house. The two placements of the same bird exemplify the main focus of the bird, in both the direction of the exterior of the window as well as inside the house. The placement of the bird allows it to act as a bridge between the outside world and the materialistic human world and symbolizes the need of positive and mutual interaction between the two.

Ignite
Watercolor and pen on watercolor paper
46 cm x 61 cm
My art highlights the detrimental impact that human careless interference with nature could have on an ecosystem. It portrays a contrast in the colors to highlight the fire and to emphasize how the relationship between humans and nature could be one sided and harmful to living things in nature.
Wish
Colored Pencils on Drawing Paper
32 cm x 30 cm
These different colors that display a girl blowing on a dandelion are representative of different emotions and how nature is able to provide all of those emotions to those who wish to experience them. Human beings can rely on nature for anything from expressing their happiness or relieving their stress. Blowing on a dandelion symbolizes hope and emphasizes the idea of how nature has the power to make humans feel optimistic.

Hello, Goodbye
Charcoal Pencils on Paper
20 cm x 45 cm
This work places the audience directly inside the car as this piece is made from the perspective of a passenger. The artwork intends to display the left side as the more hopeful side which is represented by the rainbow. This half of the work is the only section that has color. Hence, this creates the perception of leaving behind the gloomy past and being looking forward to a brighter future. All of this is done through the portrayal of nature’s beauty and the outside world from the point of view of a human.
